Product features:
1PC ball valve has features of small fluid resistance, compact structure, light weight, flexible open and close. As it is integral structure, it is much smaller and lighter than the ordinary ball valve and with good sealing performance. It can cut off or connect media in pipelines. The valves are suitable for various media such as water, steam, oil, gas, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing medium, urea and etc.
Installation:
One piece ball valve can be divided into straight through type, three-way type and right angle type according to its channel position. The latter two kinds of ball valves are used to distribute media and change the flow direction of media. The installation and maintenance of one-piece ball valve shall pay attention to the following matters:
1. The valve handle rotation position shall be reserved.
2. It can not be used as throttling.
3. The ball valve with transmission mechanism shall be installed vertically
Application:
What is 1 Piece Carbon Steel Ball Valve?
A 1 Piece Carbon Steel Ball Valve consists of a single-piece body made from carbon steel. It is primarily used for shutting off or controlling the flow of liquids or gases within pipelines. When the valve is open, the ball inside the valve allows fluid to flow freely. Rotating the handle 90° (a quarter-turn) closes the valve, stopping the flow.
A 1 Piece Carbon Steel Ball Valve is a robust and versatile valve commonly used in industrial and commercial applications, including water, gas, steam, and petrochemical services.
What's the Difference Between One, Two, And Three-Piece Ball Valves?
One-piece ball valves have a solid, cast body which reduces the risk of leakage. They are inexpensive and generally not repaired.
Two-piece ball valves are some of the most common ball valves used. As the name suggests, the two piece ball valve consists of two pieces, one piece that has one end connection and the body. The second piece fits into the first, holds the trim in place, and includes the second end connection. Once installed these valves typically cannot be repaired unless they are removed from service.
Three-piece ball valves consist of three pieces: two end caps and a body. The end caps are typically threaded or welded to the pipe and the main body section may be easily removed for cleaning or repair without removing the end caps. This can be a very valuable option because it prevents a line shutdown if maintenance is required.
Materials for Ball Valves
PVC
Polyvinyl Chloride, also known as PVC, is one type of plastic commonly used in the production of ball valves. PVC is beneficial for a number of reasons. Primarily, PVC is valued for its flexibility, as opposed to a metal valve. PVC is also smooth, which allows the valve parts to move easily.
CPVC
Chlorinated PVC has similar characteristics to PVC. What sets CPVC apart from PVC is that Chlorinated PVC is able to withstand higher temperatures, making it suitable for hot water uses.
Bronze and Brass
Brass Ball Valve with white handlebars is a material comprised of both copper and zinc. Bronze is an alloy that contains copper, zinc, tin, and lead. Bronze is an ideal material for valves used in low or medium pressure systems, and is good for more complex castings. Bronze is also corrosion and wear-resistant. Brass is similar to bronze in its machinability; however, brass is more economical than bronze (find out more).
Iron
Iron is a material most commonly used in steam, water, oil, and gas pipelines. When it comes to making ball valves, iron is a valued material due to the vast range of temperatures and pressures that it can withstand. Iron offers a high performance as a valve material to offset cost.
Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel Ball Valve with yellow handle stainless steel is another common material used to make ball valves. Stainless steel has a number of positive characteristics that make it a desirable material, including its durability and its corrosion-resistant properties. This material is used in a wide number of systems, including general plant and geochemical systems.
Why Use A Stainless Steel Float Valve?
Stainless steel offers numerous advantages over other materials. A ss floating ball valve will keep liquid levels constant through the use of their floats. Because of their corrosion resistance, they can be used not only for fresh water but also for seawater, corrosive liquids, harsh chemicals, and other special fluids. Some benefits of using ss floating ball valves include:
- Higher graded alloys of stainless steel are useful in industrial and other environments with elevated alkaline, acid, or chloride levels, even at high pressures and temperatures, while lower grades resist atmospheric corrosion well.
- Most stainless steels can be easily formed, machined, welded, cut, or otherwise fabricated.
- Resistant to extremes in temperature, some grades maintain their strength when exposed to excessive heat while also resisting scaling, while others hold up well in very cold temperatures.
- Stainless steel is easy to maintain and keep clean.
- Stainless steel is more durable than other materials used for float valves, so is often the less expensive option over its life cycle.
- The properties of many stainless steels allow it to harden well during cold working, so as to reduce thickness and weight of components or products, along with costs, while other types of stainless steel become stronger when treated with heat.
- Stainless steel float valves are often used to maintain water levels in industrial-grade tanks and water treatment plants. Float valves typically use T303 or T316 stainless steel alloys, with the former offering better machining properties and the latter offering better corrosion resistance.
